The requirements for responsible supply chains are being updated
Möbelfakta is now updating its requirements for Part 3 – Responsible Supply Chains with a focus on increased clarity, structure and relevance for both the industry and public procurement.
The new requirements build on previous Möbelfakta requirements but introduce several important changes:
- More harmonized language and concepts to better match how purchasers and other demanders formulate due diligence requirements.
- Clearer risk-based focus, where the work on identifying and prioritizing risky suppliers is given greater weight.
- Tightened requirements for dialogue with rights holders, sustainable purchasing and procedures for complaints and redress.
The update, which is the result of external analysis and dialogue with the market, will enter into force on April 1, 2026 with a six-month transition period — meaning that all declared products must meet the new requirements by October 1, 2026.
To support companies in the implementation, support documents, guidance, digital information meetings and training in risk analysis will be offered during the spring.
